The Red Buckeye Tree has these interesting red flowers that appear in April.  This Red Buckeye lives at the Asheville Botanical Gardens. ashevillebotanicalgardens.org

This tree is native to the Southern Appalachian Mountains.  It is often visited by hummingbirds when the red flowers are in bloom.
