Wintertime Christmas Trees I saw today

While walking in the woods today, I saw so many trees dressed in their December finest.  My favorites were the Holly and American Beech.

The Holly had these beautiful red drupes glowing in the winter sunshine.

The American Beech had those paperthin light brown leaves still holding on, crinkling in the freezing cold breeze that blew through Asheville today.

An American Beech shining in the sunshine at Biltmore estate today.  This tree lives near the Bass Pond.

The little patch of grass drew my eyes as it appeared to be glowing on this cold winter's day in the afternoon sunshine under the American Beech tree.
