October 30 - Allegheny chinquapin - Castanea pumila

The Allegheny Chinkapin has sweet, spicy nutty chinkapins.
 People as well as animals enjoy eating them.
They are delicious raw as well as cooked.
  There are Chinkapins at Priddy Woods,
 and I will be harvesting and sampling the chinkapins in a few weeks.
