May 1 - Malus coronaria - Sweet Crabapple

The incredible Sweet  Crabapple tree shows the color that is to be found in the spring in the Southern Appalachians.  The Sweet Crabapple is native to the Southern Appalachian mountains. These trees support wildlife with the sweet fruits that ripen on the trees in late summer.
