February 2 - The Honeylocust Tree - Gleditsia triacanthos

The Honey Locust Tree
This is a new tree to this blog. I am interested in learning more about his tree. Each season this tree is going to be quite different. Right now, it is leafless and there are many thorny spikes growing right out of the trunk.

This Honey Locust tree lives at the Asheville Botanical Gardens in Asheville, North Carolina.
