November 8 - Persimmon - Diospyros virginiana

The Persimmon Tree

I found a Persimmon Tree in my Mom and Sister's yard.  It was growing the orange fruit in September.  Well,  I tasted it.  It was so drying, all the liquid in my mouth dried up.  I had zero saliva.

Well, I tried it again in October while in West Virginia.  The same thing happened.  I was so embarrassed; I kept it to myself.  The dryness was crazy bad in my mouth....I just would not tell anyone.  So, I must say I have still not tasted a persimmon that tasted good yet.  I hear that they will be delicious after the first frost.  So, I wait...
