October 4 - White Pine - Pinus strobus

Pinus strobus

This White Pine tree lives at the John C. Campbell school.

The White Pine tree needles make a delicious vitamin C rich tea. I drink this most everyday.  Put a handful of  needles in hot water and steep for about 10 minutes. Strain, and enjoy. No need to buy vitamin C tablets, just drink your pine tree tea. yummm.

  1. I didn't know that about the needles, I'll go look up a white pine tree and see if we have them here.

  2. "I wonder if the trees talk to each other." Lyrics from song written by Suzanne Schmitt, Moon Shine Babies. Great song that you'd really like.

  3. Great info about the white pine tree! Happy birthday to your friend!
